The homepage of ImageShack is made so simple, where the user can select the image as they want to upload. User can upload maximum 1.53 MB of size BMP, JPEG (JPG), TIFF (TIF), PNG, POISON, or SWF file. Uploaded BMP and TIFF (TIF), the images are automatically converted to PNG format. There is also a free registration service that gives the user the ability to see and remove their photos uploaded earlier.
Once the file is loaded, the user is redirected to a page with different versions of URLs to the image loaded. These URLs are pre-formatted HTML code and bulletin board, which can be used to link Web pages and bulletin boards. Such URLs can not reach the public.
The images are stored on ImageShack for an indefinite period, unless the image or user who has charged that abuse of the General terms of use. The image is no longer available if it use more than 300 MB ancho de banda in a period of one hour.
Users can also make galleries for their photos – public collections of the selected photos with the guest book and the functionality of the qualification. ImageShack terms of service says that the burden of pornographic material is prohibited. Users can buy credits to make images bulk uploads.
