It is so sad to know that the expected number of tigers in India is continuously decreasing. According to the recent survey carried out in India, it is noted that there is a sharp decline in their population to 1,411. It is major cause is poaching for tiger fur, bones and other tiger products and loss of their natural habitat due to climate change and human activities like logging, farming and encroachment of forests.
At start of this century there were around one lakh tigers including 40,000 tigers in India in the whole world. Boost in population has lead people to struggle for finding place to live, that resulted in vanishing forest area and hence decrement in number of these wild animals. Hunting wild animals was considered as a sport activity and royal hobby of ‘Maharajas’ in early days of India. This has also been a reason for why india’s national animal is fighting for its life! Govt. of India also started Project Tiger scheme in 1973 to ensure a viable population of tiger in India.
To help “Save Our Tigers”, Aircel has partnered with WWF-India. The task of WWF is to prevent the humiliation of the planet’s natural environment and to build future in which humans live in accord with nature. Major population losses & extinction are being faced by Tigers. For sport, skins & body parts, Tigers are murdered. 3,500 tigers around the world and from them 1,400 are found from India According to the World Wildlife Fund.

TIGER, besides being our NATIONAL ANIMAL, is our PRIDE. Saving it, is our responsibility. Some greedy people have been after it and destroying our national pride. It is high time when we wake up and save it for the coming generations, else it will become part of fiction like Dynasaurs. Lets join our hands, minds and efforts to say ‘STOP IT’ from the depth of our hearts.

1st I request the govt. to be strict on the hunters , the people who are hunted our wild animals are definitely given death penalty.Govt. should take strong action and death penalty given to Sansarchand . Use new technology in our forests to locate the tigers and other animal and provide research on the tigers . Encourage our youth to do their research in forest and the main thing is to give awarness to the village situated near the tiger sanctury , advise them how important the forest and the animals for the ecosystem . It may sound funny but give every villager one dog so that the dog guard the villager and their cattle and in the mean time tigers are also get benifitted by getting sympathy from the local .

today when i swa on tv channel that only 1414 tigers are alive in india i was really shoked.our country with so many jungles and so much man power in the form of forests officer and others we are somewhere innattentive about killing of tigers .in most of jungles they are hunted as a part of recreation .and to show that humanbeing can even win with wild life but what the use of that,why we should enter there wild life,they are living life as thealmighty God has offered to them.Govt of india should do it best efforts in the form of implementing very strict rules ,enstrengthening the available man power to protect them,and preventing the leveling down of forests ,making efforts to rais there no.by modern biological fertilization tech.
Tiger was chosen as the National animal of India due to its grace, strength, agility and enormous power. As the tiger is also considered as the king of Jungle, it was an obvious choice for the National Animal category. Since time immemorial, the tiger has been considered as a Royal Animal. Often, The Tiger as the National Animal of India symbolizes the power, strength, elegance, alertness, intelligence and endurance of the nation. But now the population of the tiger in our nation has reduced to 1411.I please the INDIAN Government to take actions against Deforestation and to prevent out National animal.

it is high time that we all Indians, as responsible citizens do as much as we can to save the tigers and see to it that their number increases. we cant just sit back and blame the government for the extension of tigers as we will also be equally responsible. this is our last chance so we have to do our best.
