It is so sad to know that the expected number of tigers in India is continuously decreasing. According to the recent survey carried out in India, it is noted that there is a sharp decline in their population to 1,411. It is major cause is poaching for tiger fur, bones and other tiger products and loss of their natural habitat due to climate change and human activities like logging, farming and encroachment of forests.
At start of this century there were around one lakh tigers including 40,000 tigers in India in the whole world. Boost in population has lead people to struggle for finding place to live, that resulted in vanishing forest area and hence decrement in number of these wild animals. Hunting wild animals was considered as a sport activity and royal hobby of ‘Maharajas’ in early days of India. This has also been a reason for why india’s national animal is fighting for its life! Govt. of India also started Project Tiger scheme in 1973 to ensure a viable population of tiger in India.
To help “Save Our Tigers”, Aircel has partnered with WWF-India. The task of WWF is to prevent the humiliation of the planet’s natural environment and to build future in which humans live in accord with nature. Major population losses & extinction are being faced by Tigers. For sport, skins & body parts, Tigers are murdered. 3,500 tigers around the world and from them 1,400 are found from India According to the World Wildlife Fund.

Please take most required & urgent steps to stop such shameful acts, so that our coming generations may see these beautiful creation of God alive & not just in documentary movies on Discovery or National Geographical channels. i have seen the condition of our tigers in national park of banglore …its deplorable …they are locked up in the cages where they cant even move around …the condition of the tigers living also needsequal attention .The advertisements are only mentioning the cause but no solution . i feel completely helpless as i see promises to join the drive but no giudelines given to actually save them and improve the condition . Please let me knbow what can i do to make things better for these animals, as an individual . in this blog i onlt read promises and the line ” something needs to be done ” …but what ? that no one has mentioned .The minute these adds will stop comming on television, this cause will also take a back seat . So, please be a little prompt as time is running .You can mail me the ways …and i will really do my best .I am working in an MNC as a division manager and will involve my site . when thousand hands will join for one cause …things will surely change ….waiting for a reply!
