New Hyundai i40 is much awaited model of Hyundai Motor Company, which will be launched in late 2010 or in the starting of 2011. Without sacrificing value for money, Hyundai has consistently improved the quality and performance of its cars. There is a first glimpse at the replacement for the Sonata saloon, following the new ix35, updated i20 and i30 and revised Santa Fe. The price of this car is expected to be between 14-lakh to Rs. 19-lakh.

New Hyundai i40 contains a 2.0 ltr. and a 2.2 ltr. next generation diesel CRDI engine, which will produce 181 and 197 bhp respectively. New Hyundai i40 seems a mixture of a SUV, Hatchback and a MUV at the exterior side. The car is believed to be a notch above its competition in its styling and comfort parameters and is being made with an eye on competing with the Accord, Mazda and Camry in certain markets.

Hyundai Motor Company had showcased the lines of the concept model, on which designs of Hyundai i40 is being done. New Hyundai i40 contains a six-speed automatic gearbox, which meant low noise levels and an easy drive. The i40 will first appear as an even-more styling lifestyle estate, ahead of the introduction of the saloon.
