Acer Iconia Tab A700: Specs & Review of Quad core Tablet with 1080p display

CES is the world’s largest tradeshow on consumer technology. As it is one of the most awaited tradeshows, its after-effects are greatly fascinating. We all must have been eagerly waiting for the announcement of the tablet device from Acer, and finally it comes through the CES 2012. The tablet device from Acer, called to be Iconia Tab A700, is to be accompanied by the Android operating system, which makes the tablet even more attractive.

At the CES 2012, Acer provided a view of this upcoming Android tablet, and the tit-bits of its specifications are leaked on the web as of now. The images of the tablet leaked on the web, show the device to be a rather stylish one, with rounded edges, and touch-buttons.

According to the leaked specifications of the Acer Iconia Tab A700, the device will feature the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor of 1.3 GHz, and will provide the full HD 1080p display with a resolution support of 1920 x 1080. The size of the display is around 10.1 inch, and will have a camera of 5 MP with LED flash. Accompanied with a thickness of about 9.8 mm, the device will be accompanied by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Some of the other specifications of the device include a front camera, support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. The tablet will have a 9800 mAh battery, microSD slot and an HDMI port.

Pricing and Availability

Though nothing much has been said by Acer about the pricing details of this tablet device, but the expected arrival of it in the market will be somewhere around Q2 of 2012. So, better keep your fingers crossed for more updates on the Acer Iconia Tab A700.
