So, there you have it finally lightning has struck, or should I say the official launch of Windows phone 7 has been launched, the proprietary OS from Microsoft is coming on a number of hardware of hardware platforms the most unique amongst them is the Dell Venue. The device is packing a great mix of functionality and style and hence is one of our favorites from the ones that were launched yesterday. The Dell Venue Pro is a portrait slider smartphone that features some truly awe-inspiring specs that perfectly matches its sweet and sexy exterior look that brings some attention to a form factor that usually gets little notice.

AMOLED-equipped Windows Phone 7 from DELL has finally become official and its specs are sure to make it a head-turner as you carry it through a crowd. Carrying with it 1GHz Snapdragon chip along with the 5 megapixel camera. As far as the technical details are concerned It features a 4.1” TFT touchscreen, 1GHz QSD8250 Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel auto-focus camera, 8GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, 1GB ROM, GPS, FM Radio and full Flash support including playback. This smartphone will use all the application of the Windows Phone 7 platform (Netflix, Slacker Radio, T-mobile Entertainment App) just to name a few. The QWERTY sliding keypad along with its multitude of features will make it a stand out in the T-Mobile lineup and a definite asset for Windows Phone 7 OS itself. Do not expect it to come cheap though when it does hit stores come year end.

Well our take, as far as our take on the phone is concerned, guys it was codenamed as the lightning and believe us lightning it is. The storm like form factor, the rubber cladded keys and the portrait style QWERTY keypad just makes this one- an absolute delight to hold and feel or even look at for that matter. That it is made by Dell makes us believe that this one is carrying one of the best build quality around. Its rounded chrome sides are reminiscent of an iPhone 3G/S, the black contoured back has a nice grippy feel, and the curved, WVGA AMOLED, Gorilla Glass screen is just stunning.

Well in our opinion if you are not a diehard Apple or Android fan then you should actually take a close look at this phone as it is any day much better than the other phones carrying those platform or may be at par with the best that the platform has to offer.
