Nowadays, Telecommunication market is abundant with range of different brand’s android phones, so Motorola’s new launch will face many competitors. Motorola offers its 2.8 inch touch and type Android Phone at the price of around Rs. 8500. One of the best affordable budget android gingerbread Smartphone is equipped with 3MP camera with video recording capability, fixed focus and 4X digital zoom. The fairly large screen gives ample real estate for watching photos and videos.

Motorola Fire comes with black glossy finish all around. It has used aluminum between the front and back panel to give different look. Overall, appearance of the phone is such a good with little heavier weight – 110 grams. The screen of the mobile phone is equipped with four Android capacitive buttons and also QWERTY keypad that gives polite tactile feedback. The dimension of Motorola FIRE XT311 is 116.5 x 58 x 13.5 mm. It comes with 2.8-inch touch screen display with 143 pixel density and also supports multi-touch input, along with other features. It is supported by Micro USB port which is stayed on left side and 3.5 mm jack at the top.


Memory and camera:

Motorola FIRE XT311 is powered by Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor. Google’s android system allows users to switch between 4 pre-designed profiles including Default mode, Business mode, Entertainment mode and Personal mode.

It sports 256 MB RAM and extra 512 MB ROM for storing your valuable data. It supports microSD card slot by which users can expand their memory up to 32 GB. It gives 150 MB internal memory.

It comes with 3.2 megapixel camera which captures photos of 2048 x 1536 pixels at max resolution and records video with 480p resolution at 24 frames per second. Video player supports both 3GP and MP4 video formats. The working of the camera is not so much good but it is decent enough as per its price. Video calling facility is not available with this new device.

Connectivity and battery:

The Android Webkit, Web browser is specially intended for easy internet surfing. It can make use of the GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity supports more comfort and well. As a connectivity, it offers Wi-Fi (b/g/n), 3G (7.2 Mbps), Bluetooth 2.1 and USB port.

The battery of the phone is charged by 1420 mAh Li-ion battery that runs approximately 10 hours for talk-time and gives 1.5 day of careful use with few hours of music, calls, running apps, Wi-Fi, SMS and e mail.

Due to its Android System, user can download wide range of applications as well as use number of built in applications including Google Maps™, Navigation, Google Search, Google Talk, Gmail, Youtube, etc. The main drawback of the phone is its FM radio reception which is very poor. Generally it is sold in the market for social networking enthusiast but does not give facebook apps.

LG Optimus Pro may become its main competitor because it has been released at the same time with same features and price.
