Nokia E7 Review: Specs & Features of QWERTY Slider Phone

Nokia makes the E7 official: Carrying the QWERTY + SLIDER form factor and Symbian 3 OS

Nokia is trying hard to hit hard at the international smartphones market; the brand name had almost disappeared from the smartphone market in the earlier part of this decade but recently more and more smartphones have come up from the house of the mobile phone major. Nokia has decided to sell more smartphones with the Linux based Meego operating system but Nokia’s very own Symbian is ot really dead.

The company has made another stunning smartphone official yesterday it is called the Nokia E7 and carries the QWERTY and slider form factor. The phone carries the Symbian3 operating system and one of the highest in Nokia’s range of handsets. It’s said to be the best business device Nokia, or anyone else, has ever produced and comes with the touted ability to create PowerPoint slides on the go.

“Today our fight back to smartphone leadership shifts into high gear,” said Niklas Savander, Executive Vice President, Markets Nokia. “Despite new competition, Symbian remains the most widely used smartphone platform in the world. Our new family of smartphones introduced today features the all-new Symbian OS, rewritten to be faster, easier to use, more efficient and more developer friendly.” Savander also commented on the high level of anticipation for the Nokia N8. “Based on the level of consumer interest and the highest online pre-orders in Nokia history, we expect big things from the Nokia N8.”

It seems that the phone is a duplicate of the Nokia N8 feature wise, only that the E7 carries a larger display and an even larger chassis to fit in the slider plus QWERTY form factor.
