Both the companies Apple and Blackberry are one of the biggest manufacturers of smartphones all around the world. While most of the time one distinguishes between them by the kind of hardware they provide inside their smartphones. Sometimes however, it is the software that is provided between them or even a special feature that distinguishes the software that runs within them. Today we are going to have a comparative description of the Apple iMessage messenger and the Blackberry Messenger. Back in India the device manufactured by the Canadian manufacturer is extremely famous and one of the most attractive features within the device is the Blackberry Messenger. For somebody who has never ever owned either a Blackberry or an iPhone but plans to one in the future this article is an extremely important read.
As far as the comparison of the two platform features are concerned one will have to say that the BBM (as the Blackberry Messenger is popularly called) is much more dense in terms of features that the Apple iMessage. The application is not only limited to messages you can also share photos, lists, calendar entries and media files with your BBm group in a single attempt. All the contacts are made using your BBM pin if you want o add your friends you can send them invite to their respective email ID and ask them to add you to their BBM’s. If you already know your friend’s pin you can directly send them invites to add you to their BBM accounts. However whatever you do your friend will have to confirm your request so that you can send him the shat messages as receive the same from his end as well. There are several other features that the application provides including redefining the character limit and renaming the name of your contact on your messenger screen.
ON the other hand Apple iMessage is integrated into the default Apple messaging app and hence you do not need to add the friends explicitly as far as the features are concerned the BBM is definitely having more dense features that he Apple iMessage however this one feature becomes an added advantage as the interface of the application is clean and simple with not much fuss. There is not mush process involved when it comes to setting up the contact for the first time as the end user need not confirm of your request before you can send request to him/her.
