The Galaxy SL GT- I9003, a Super Clear LCD version of the existing Galaxy S has been unveiled by Samsung. Most of the people will be inquisitive with the shapes and characteristics, available inside a new mobile phone. A lot of people also waited for a new phone from Samsung, Samsung I9003 Galaxy SL as this phone is the cheap version of Samsung Galaxy S. Several features of the Galaxy SL GT-I9003 are similar to the Samsung Galaxy S. But, some features are different from Galaxy S such as the Samsung Galaxy SL is 12g heavier, because it is a 1.3mm longer and 0.7mm thicker.

The major difference between the two handsets is the display type; Super AMOLED is used in the Samsung i9000, whereas Samsung’s next generation touch-screen technology the SC-LCD capacitive touchscreen is used in the Samsung i9003 that is much brighter and better for outdoor use. However, the memory of the Samsung Galaxy SL is decreased, it is 16GB storage, 478 MB RAM user available and on the Samsung Galaxy S the memory is 8 GB/16GB storage, 512 MB RAM, 2GB ROM. Samsung Galaxy SL contains a 1650 mAh battery while Samsung Galaxy S contains a 1500 mAh, and both models have 5 mp camera.
Samsung Galaxy S:
Samsung had announced an Android smart-phone, Samsung Galaxy S in March 2010. This smart-phone contains a 1 GHz “Hummingbird” processor along with 8–16 GB internal Flash memory, a 4-inch 480×800 pixel Super AMOLED (PenTile) capacitive touch-screen display with WVGA (800 x 480) resolution. Samsung Galaxy S also comes with a 5-megapixel camera and on selected models, a VGA front-facing camera. Samsung Galaxy S is featured with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with DLNA support, and the Bluetooth version on Galaxy S is 3.0 with A2DP support.

The Galaxy S contains a healthy 512MB RAM and 2GB ROM. Both 2G (GPRS: Class 12 (4+1/3+2/2+3/1+4 slots), 32 – 48 kbps (EDGE: Class 12) and 3G (HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps) connectivity has been supported by Galaxy S. The camera is made of plastic so it is the weak point of Galaxy S. Samsung Galaxy S contains a camera of 5MP resolution with auto-focus but no flash at all. The video is recorded at HD (720P) resolution at 30fps. For video chatting, a secondary camera is also present with VGA resolution in Samsung Galaxy S.
It also comes with 2.1 Android version, Stereo FM Radio with RDS support, GPS with A-GPS and Digital Compass support, and the video player supports codec like avi, Divx, mkv. The weight of Samsung Galaxy S is 118gm and its dimensions are 64.2 * 122.4 * 9.9 mm. The battery power is of 1500mAh Li-Po battery. The Galaxy S is available in Black and Grey color. The price of Samsung I9000 Galaxy S is approximately INR 28500 (US $608).
Samsung Galaxy SL:
Samsung unveiled that Samsung I9003 Galaxy SL contains a 4 inch Super Clear LCD touch-screen display. The Samsung Galaxy SL I9003 runs on Android 2.2 FroYo OS and supports up to 32GB external memory. A 1 Ghz TI OMAP 3630 processor powers the Samsung Galaxy SL I9003. The Galaxy SL is featured with a 16GB onboard memory, a 5 MP auto-focused camera with Action shot, Smile shot, Panorama views, Stereo FM Radio with RDS, Multi format video & audio player, 3.5 mm audio jack and more multimedia features.

Samsung I9003 Galaxy SL also comes with 7.2 Mbps 3G Speed, Thinkfree Office Mobile, GPS with Google Maps, Social HUB, Reach type speeds up to 40 words per minute with Swype, DNLA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and equipped with a 1650mAh Li-ion standard battery for extra long battery life. Samsung I9003 Galaxy SL provides the best viewing experience by producing sharper text, better images and videos with bright color on its LCD-based screens.
Up to 15 hours of talk time is supported by 1650mAh battery. The Galaxy SL measures 123.7 x 64.2 x 10.59mm. Weight of Galaxy SL is 4.62 oz (131 g). It also comes with Wireless Tethering with which smart-phone users can use the internet of mobile and make the mobile as a hotspot. The price of Samsung Galaxy SL is not announced yet.
