Samsung Wave 3, Wave M, and Wave Y, three new Bada phones have been recently announced by Samsung. These three new Samsung phones run on Bada 2.0 operating system, and have custom messaging platform of Samsung, ChatOn. These all devices contain impressive specifications but Wave 3 is the most powerful device from these three phones. Samsung Wave M is a mid-range handset and Wave Y is a low-end phone. Samsung Wave 3:
Samsung Wave 3 is descendant to the Wave and the Wave 2. This device contains a metal body, but it is different from the Sammy’s very well-liked Galaxy S series. It also includes a slim waistline of 9.9mm and 4-inch Super-AMOLED display with WVGA (800×480) resolution. A speedy 1.4GHz single-core processor from Qualcomm (MSM8255TT) powers this handset. Samsung Wave 3 is featured with Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS with A-GPS, microSD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, 512MB of RAM and 3GB of internal memory.
Samsung Wave 3 also contains usual array of sensors, and 5MP rear camera with LED flash that can record videos in 720p HD resolution. This device will also come with a front-facing VGA camera for all video-calling requirements. Measurement of this device is 126 x 64 x 10mm and its weight is 122 grams. It also contains a beefy 1500mAh battery that provides up to 8.5 hours talktime and 20 days standby time. Details about its pricing are not disclosed yet.
Samsung Wave M:
Samsung Wave M is featured with a 3.7″ pixel display on the front with 320 x 480 resolution, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and 3.5G support, a stereo FM radio, and a microSD slot with a 2GB card in the box. It contains a 5 megapixel rear camera with 2592 x 1944 pixels resolution, autofocus and flash, capable of very basic QVGA video capture, and a secondary video calling front camera. NFC communications will be supported by some versions of the Wave M. It also contains Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off and TouchWiz UI.
Samsung Wave M will come with 1350 mAh battery that provides up to 6.5 hours talktime and 20 days standby time. This device can work in both 2G (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) and 3G (HSDPA 900/2100) network. Dimension of Wave M is 113.8 x 63.3 x 12.2 mm and its weight is 121 grams. It also contains 150 MB internal space that can be expanded up to 32GB with microSD memory card. Users will get many social applications to connect with world with this device.
Samsung Wave Y:
Samsung Wave Y is featured with 3.2-inch HVGA (320 x 480 pixel) LCD touchscreen. 832MHz processor powers this handset. It also includes 2 megapixel fixed-focus camera with LED flash and Image editor features to capture photos and videos (HVGA@30fps) but it does not have a front-facing camera at all. This device will come with 2GB of internal storage, and support microSD cards up to 32GB in capacity. Measurement of this phone is 110mm x 58.2mm x 12.3mm (4.33in x 2.29in x 0.48in) and weighs 102.4g (3.6oz).
Samsung Wave Y includes 1,200mAh battery that gives 6.7 hours of talk time or almost 24 days of standby time. It also contains GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3.5 connectivity. Support for voice recognition, Wi-Fi sharing and optionally NFC (INFO) are featured in this device. It also includes Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off and TouchWiz UI features.
