Google Maps 6.0 for Android will facilitate viewing of intricate details as floor plans and layouts os grocery stores, malls and so on, thus paving a new way to the meaning of “Navigation”. So, whether you need to know about airport gates, departments, departmental stores, or even restrooms, all such information will be at the tip of your fingers.
At present, the database for such an advance viewing through Google Maps, is small and limited to only a few places, but there is going to be enlargement of such database over time, and it may happen in quite a small amount.
At present, some of the places which are supported by indoor maps include the following:
- IKEA, Mall of America, The Home Depot, Taskashimaya, select Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, Mitsukoshi, Daimaru, and others.
- JR and Tokyo Corporation.
