Not that I am peace maker between the biggest tech brands in the world but I have always wondered that the rivalry between the brands has always led to the grieve inconvenience of the end users like us. Imagine someone having a Mac at his house and having a Windows phone in his pockets poor fellow because of the different brands he can never synchronize his phone to his system, just because Apple and Microsoft do not really go hand in hand when it comes to compatibility. And the worst part is that none of the two was ready to understand it until recently when Microsoft launched a Mac connector for a handful of Windows phone 7 users.
Windows Phone 7 Connector lets you synchronize your favorite music, videos, photos and podcasts from iTunes and iPhoto to your Windows Phone 7, so you can take your media with you wherever you go. The connector require that system to be running the Mac OS 10.5 plus. It is pretty much known that Microsoft had held a media event earlier this month to officially unveil its Windows Phone 7 operating system along with several handsets to be available over the next few months through a number of carriers and hence it can be considered a the first step taken by Microsoft towards cross platform computing with Apple.
You can even sync photos and videos from your iPhoto library with your Windows Phone 7, so you can look at your favorite photos and videos anywhere. To save space on your phone, videos are not synced unless you specify that you want to include videos when you sync. You can also sync the photos and videos you captured on your phone with your Mac.
Connect your Windows Phone 7 to your Mac using the USB cable that came with your phone. Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac should open automatically. If it does not, on the right side of the menu bar, click, and then click Launch Windows Phone 7 Connector. In the navigation pane, click Photos & Videos. Make sure that the Sync photos and videos from iPhoto library check box is selected. Upon dong that select the option that suits your need properly.
There it is hope you will download the connector and say your cross platform problems a good bye.
