Microsoft has introduced a new operating system, Windows 7 for computers in metros but it slated for release in early 2010 to the market. According to different needs of computer users company presented the six version of Window 7. They are:
- Windows 7 Starter (only available on pre-installed OEM channel worldwide but limited to new PCs limited to specific types of hardware)
- Windows 7 Home Basic (only available in emerging markets)
- Windows 7 Home Premium
- Windows 7 Professional
- Windows 7 Enterprise (only on Software Assurance or Volume Licensing channel)
- Windows 7 Ultimate

Price of the Windows 7 Home Basic version is Rs 5899 (Fpeepi) while the price of the largestĀ Windows 7 ultimate edition will be11.799 rupees.
