I read these other comments and I think what is going on? Has Best Buy duped me? I tried once to get the free upgrade online and could not make sense of what to do, so I go into Best Buy where I purchased the computer and was told you have to go online and Best Buy will provide a link to my computer manufacturer for the free upgrade. Guess what, I have used too much of my valuable time trying to make this happen. There is no link on your website given on my receipt from Best Buy. I have an Asus. I bought from you because of this feature. Please make it right!

Best Buy, I purchased a HP pavilion dv7 1448dx PC with Windows Vista Home premium from Best Buy on 9/10/09 in Stevens Point, Wi. I went into Best Buy to let them know how lousy the Vista program worked compared to my old xp Dell. They said I quality as my purchase falls within the 6/26/09 -01/31/10 purchase dates and gave me a pamphlet with instructions for a Free Upgrade for windows 7 saying they windows was aware of the lack of Vista performance. When i went to the www.bestbuy.com/windows7 upgrade site it indicated that it is not available!
What’s up? I can’t figure out how to get the windows 7 cds?

I purchased my system 7/23/09, I waited for the windows7 discs to come, and they did not. I went to BestBuy to have it installed on 3/20/10, only to be told that it was no longer available and to READ the pamphlet that was given to me at the time of purchase and check the dates. The flyer stated that the dates of PURCHASE was 06/26/09-01/31/10. NOT an experation date, a purchase date. Now does anyone know how to get the upgrade for free that I am eligible for, but BestBuy or HP are NOT going to supply me with?
