An agency of the Government of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia is the State Transit Authority of New South Wales (STA). It is operating bus and ferry services. To replace the Urban Transit Authority of New South Wales, the STA was founded in 1989. As of 2006, more than 200 million passengers every year are carried by the State Transit Authority on a network of over 300 routes aboard a fleet of some 1900 buses and two ferries.

The Wran Labor government separated buses, ferries and trains, in 1980. While buses and ferries became the preserve of the Urban Transit Authority of New South Wales, trains became part of the State Rail Authority of New South Wales.

• Select the route.
• If you want to get the information of timetable, then click on “Timetable” option.
• If you want to obtain the information about map, then click in “Map” option.
• For getting timetable and map, you will have to download the PDF file, which will be of 100-300KB each.

The Route Map:

A Route Map is contained by every timetable showing sections along the route, indicated by numbers. Train stations, ferry wharves, transport interchanges and other points of interest are also shown. Timing points are indicated by the letters, which correspond to the columns listed in the timetable. The columns show when the bus is scheduled to arrive at that location.

The Timetable:

You can find two timings points your bus stop is located between by using the route map. To arrive between the times shown for these points, your bus is scheduled. For example, if your bus stop is situated between timing points ‘A’ & ‘B’ and on the map, then the bus is scheduled to arrive between the times shown. Generally, the arrival times are separated into three sections: Monday to Friday times, Saturday times, and Sunday & Public Holiday times.

In the morning (between 12 midnight and 11:59am) arrival times of buses are shown in normal text. In bold text, Times of buses shown arriving in the afternoon and evening (between 12 mid day and 11:59 pm) are shown. You can use PrePay services by purple-coloured text.
