What is wrong at Target? Beautiful ads with beautiful people and when you get to the store the clerks not only lack knowledge but are rude in delivering information.
The issue: I wanted to add minutes to an AT&T pre paid phone card. According to a promotion, recorded on their 800# I could do this at Target. "Erica" of "Guest Service" (a misnomer) said "We don't do that" I knew that wasn't correct because I had done it previously at the Shreveport, LA store on Youree Drive. I would not be put off. When I persisted she called a male in Electronics who gave her the same mis-information. I asked for a Manager and "Kendria" appeared with a "you might as well leave because we don't do that" attitude. In the meantime I called AT&T Cust Svc and got "Richard." He advised that there was a problem with some Target stores honoring a promotion that was pre-recorded by AT&T directing customers to Target. I put "Kendria" on the phone with "Richard." She was clearly annoyed but he apparently gave her instructions on how to handle the transaction and I ultimately got out of there after wasting 20 minutes of my time for a transaction that took 20 seconds. Forget "thank you" to the customer. BUT THAT WASN'T THE WORST PART--while ringing the transaction she HUNG UP on the AT&T rep, stating to "Erica" that she didn't even know what he was talking about, he was still talking and she couldn't understand him. Fiinal comments to each other "I didn't know we did that." "I didn't either." This was at 2735 Beene Blvd Bossier City LA. Serious customer service training needed. Having worked in hospitalty and currently in retail I KNOW that is not how you get repeat business. Hope this helps.

Today I had the absolute worst experience for shopping. I went to a new beautiful woefully incompetent Target @ Christiana Mall, Newark, Delaware. I was pretty excited about a few items.
Little People by Fisher Price Nativity and some Hanes Sweats for men. Well, in the toy dept I found I would need a raincheck and was told I would have to call and check on availablity- Now that is customer service NOT! The Hanes sweats- this gets even better. I found the sweatshirts and wanted pants to match. There were none on the shelves but there were tags for them. The area was totally full of only shirts. I went to the register and requested a raincheck. After a few people "helping" they finally heard me when I said go get the tags off the shelf and you will have the SKU # you need for the raincheck. Another cashier (in her kindness) went back and brought me ladies pants...the saga continues. 20 minutes later (I could have done this myself several times over), the cashier comes back with some numbers but not all and at this point my confidence is zero that the numbers might even be correct. I spoke to a manager, Bryan, and told him that I would complete a survey stating the raincheck thing- me calling until I could find the item in was ridiculous and that the 20 minutes plus I wasted led me to the decision that I would not be back to Target. I had planned to go to on Black Friday but that is out of the question now. I doubt I will waste my time calling for the Little Peoples Nativity. I will however let folks know that I had a horrendous experience and that hte store is incompetent. The only competent individual was my cashier, hopefully you can track her by this rec #. REC #2-0325-2754-0073-9418-2 VCD#752-258-942. Bryan did tell me the store would be reprimanded and I told him good. The lack of customer focus was incredulous and Target will not be growing in a bad economy if they remain this incompetent.

While shopping at the Target store in New Hartford New York i picked up a can of Folgers coffee along with other items. The shelve that the coffee was sitting on stated it was on sale for this type of coffee at $6.49, when i returned home i noticed i was charged $10.49. I returned to the store and went to the service desk where i was told it was the wrong size and it was the smaller can that was on sale. This was the only size can that was on the shelve. The gentelman that the service desk person called to ask about this and when he came up i asked why the larger size can was on that shelf if it wasn't the one on sale and he stated i should have checked the size, which i think was uncalled for. I shouldn't have to check the size of a product if it is on the shelf that is clearly marked as a sale item. I find this to be false advertising and a way to get customers to buy the more expensive item. Luckily i do not live a long distance from this store and was able to return and get a refund. Just imagine the people that are taken in by this and live a distance away (or is this the way it's set up) It is a shame that we now have to make sure we are buying what is supposed to be a sale item that is on the shelf clearly marked as a sale, and get taken in because of it being the wrong size.

My kitten plays with this toy every day. It is a real challenge for him, and I can hear the plastic ball going round and round from other rooms. She also likes to scratch her back on the catnip scratching top. Lulu is a rescue kitten with a tragic beginning but she now enjoys a loving home and is spoiled rotten.
