First Bollywood movie is coming in DECCANI Language 1st time in Indian history
Through their first commercial film project – Pune TC, a light-hearted comedy – Swatantra Films aims to send a social message
Here is a film which every true Puneite will be able to relate to. As their first attempt in the commercial cinema, Swatantra Films has announced their project – Pune TC – a film that explores the desire of outsiders to blend into the fabric of the city. Still in the process of pre-production, which will continue till mid-December, the film will go on floors on January 3 and is set for release by March 2010.
“It’s a light-hearted comedy, with a message on women empowerment,” says Shaikh Riyaz, who interestingly has written the script, is producing the project and also plays the protagonist in the film. 28-year-old Riyaz started working on the story in 2004 when he was pursuing his masters’ degree in Hyderabad. SHAIK RIYAZ is basically from Rayachoty, Kadapa(Dist). Andhra Pradesh.Initially he had plans of writing a book in Telugu, but later on he converted it into a film script format.

Bhakti Ratnaparkhi another talented artist is an active member of Aasakta and Maharashtra Cultural Centre has performed plays in Egypt a year back.
Prerna Mahajan is a member of Swatantra Theatre.
Sulagana Chatterjee is a final year M.B.A student and classical vocalist .

Mriganka was a journalist in Zee News(Delhi) for six years and trained actor of Swatantra Theatre.
Ayub Khan a software engineer
Where as Mrs.Kamini Pathak who is a teacher in Rosary school will be playing role of a Marathi women .
Mrs.Manjiri Choudhary a secondary teacher in Hindustan Antibiotics School is an experienced screen and theatre actress will also have her share of role in this production.
Pralhad Shinde-a school principal by proffession but a true actor by heart will be playing a role of Telgu man.
