I wanted a BR player to go with the new bedroom TV since we could only watch BR movies downstairs on the PS3. I wanted Netflix streaming (we have Roku box downstairs) also, and was agonizing over this and the Samsung BDP-3600. After researching reviews and AV forums where real-world experiences were discussed in detail, I decided on the LG BD-390. I couldn’t be happier with it — Netflix and other internet streaming is flawless, and it also picked up my MediaTomb media server easily. Didn’t try the wifi as mine is hardwired (I wired the whole house with CAT5 when we built it, so I have drops and small switches all over the house). We’ve only watched a couple of BR movies on it so far, but it seemed quiet and fast. Standard DVDs upconvert very well also. I think you can’t go wrong with this model.
