After that click on ‘New bill payment’ on the left-hand menu and select the account you want to pay the bill from. Then choose your biller from the drop-down menu and click the Next button. On this page enter your reference number, amount and the date you want the payment to happen on, and click the Next button. At last, you confirm your payment by entering your Internet Banking password.

2. Transfer your funds:

If you want to transfer your funds, then select ‘Funds transfer’ from the ‘Payments menu’. Then set up your payee for fund transfer from ‘My payee list,’ which is seen at the left-hand menu. You can also add new payee by selecting ‘Add payee’ button at the top right hand side of the screen, and fill in the payee’s name and account details. Click on ‘New funds transfer’ from the left-hand menu to choose your payee and then select the account you want to transfer the money. In the next step enter the amount, reference (statement reference or payment description), remitter name (your name) and the date you want the transfer to happen on and click on the Next button. Lastly conform your transfer is correct or not by clicking on the ‘Submit’ button and also enter your Internet Banking password, if the transfer is to one of your linked accounts.

3. Manage your standing orders:

Standing orders is the means to arrange regular payments to companies and other people and recurring transfers between your accounts. You can see lists and details of all your Standing orders, set up new Standing orders, cancel or amend Standing orders through this service.

  • View your Standing orders: For viewing your Standing orders, click on ‘Standing order’ from the ‘Payments menu’. Select an account and you will be accessible with a list of all your current Standing orders, showing who they are payable to, their frequency, amount and next payment date. When you want to view more details about each Standing order, just click on the beneficiary.
  • Amend an existing Standing order: If you want to amend your existing Standing order, then select the beneficiary that you want to amend from the Standing orders screen. Then select ‘Modify’ from the Standing order details and choose the biller or payee that the payments are made to, or enter their sort code and account number, then enter the amount to pay each time and their reference number, dates and frequency that the payment should happen on. Confirm the amendment by entering your Internet Banking password, and click on the Submit button.
  • Cancel an existing Standing order: If you want to cancel an existing Standing order, then select ‘Cancel’ on your list of Standing orders or from Standing order details then confirm the cancellation by entering your Internet Banking password, and clicking the Submit button. Remember that once a Standing order has been cancelled it will continue to appear on your list for 3 months. This period is not determined by Internet Banking and it is a Bank standard.
  • To set up a new Standing order: You can also set up a new Standing order. Select ‘New standing order’ on the left-hand menu. After that choose the account you want to pay the money from, then provide details of who you want to pay the money to either:
    • Select your biller from the ‘My biller list’ (for payment of everyday bills to utility companies, credit cards, the government, charities, etc), or
    • Select your payee from the ‘My payee list’ (for transfers to, for example, friends or family), or
    • Enter the sort code and account number of the person which you want to transfer.
    • Then enter the payment amounts, reference, dates and frequency you want payments to happen on and click the Next button.
    • Check that your instructions are correct, and confirm the Standing order by entering your Internet Banking password and click on the Submit button.

4. Manage your direct debits:

Clydesdale bank also serves direct debits service. You can use this service as a way of paying regular bills that differ in amount each time. So you can view lists and details of Direct debits set up on your accounts, and cancel existing Direct debits.

  • To view your Direct debits: From the ‘Payments menu’ select ‘Direct debit’ so you will be presented with a list of all your current Direct debits, showing who they are payable to (the ‘originator’, the last reference number, the last time they were debited from your account, and the last amount). If you want to view more details about each Direct debit, then select the originator name.
  • To cancel a Direct debit: Select the ‘Cancel direct debit’ button on the ‘Direct debits detail’ screen or ‘Cancel’ on the Direct debit list screen. Then confirm the cancellation by entering your Internet Banking password and clicking the ‘Submit’ button. Cancellation of a Direct debit must be carried out within the notification period. Remember that once a Direct debit has been cancelled it will continue to appear in your list for 13 months. This period is not determined by Internet Banking and it is a Bank standard.

You can receive One Time Password in alphabetic and numeric characters in your Internet Banking welcome letter by post, which is located on the bottom right hand side of the letter. Letters must be input as UPPERCASE, numbers are identified by an underline. You require the following details:

  • Your 10 digit customer number which beginning with ’10′. If you are a Nominated User, then you will have your own customer number, beginning ’90′.
  • Your 4 digit Access Code number
  • Your 6 digit sort code
  • Your 8 digit account number

Then enter One Time Password correctly so you will be invited to change it to a password of your choice. Your customer number is a ten digit number beginning ’10′, which will be shown in your Internet Banking welcome letter. This number is unique for you. You will require this number when you register for Internet Banking, after then every time you log on to Internet Banking.

In the next step you will be required to enter your new 6 to 16 digit Password and then confirm your new Password by re-entering your new password.

If you get error in your registration process then check ten-digit customer number, four-digit Access Code number, six-digit Sort Code, and eight-digit Account Number, which are entered correctly or not. After completion of your first stage of registration, Bank will post you a One Time Password that allows you to continue to the second stage of registration.
