In 1936, SELCO Community Credit Union was established when local school teachers and school employees pooled their funds jointly in a shoe box to offer each other loans in times of need. It is a not-for-profit consumer cooperative. SELCO branch offices are situated throughout western and central Oregon. As the member join he will become an owner and the members elect volunteer directors to oversee the management and development of the credit union. An independent Supervisory Committee is appointed by the elected Board of Directors to make sure that the credit union operates at the highest professional standard. To become the member you have to complete a membership application and to pay a membership fee of $5 and opens a Savings Account with a minimum deposit of $5. A share of ownership in SELCO is represented by $5 and every member is treated with dignity and respect. Signing up for Online Banking takes only a few moments. SELCO Online Banking services:
A whole new level of convenience and control of your finances is offered by Online Banking. You can get complete, up-to-the-date information about your credit union accounts and transaction history, including your SELCO Visa Card, anytime, anywhere with online banking. You can also transfer funds between accounts, transfer payments to a SELCO Visa or loan payment, and request a withdrawal. You will be able to pay your creditors online if you opt for Bill Payer and you may also pay individuals using Bill Payer. You manage which bills are paid, the amounts paid and when the money will be deducted from your account.
Online Banking Guarantee:
SELCO Online Banking built a security system that preserves your money and keeps your account information private. If an unauthorized transaction was conducted on your account because of a breach that occurred while you were connected to Online Banking, your liability on those unauthorized transactions will be ZERO.
Every time you begin an Online Banking session, SELCO Online Banking asks for your Account Number and Password. When your Account Number and Password match exactly then only access to your account is available. By memorizing your Password, you make sure your Online Banking account is protected from unauthorized access. If you discover an unauthorized transaction on your account, contact SELCO Community Credit Union immediately at 686-8000 or toll-free at 1(800)445-4483 or log into Online Banking and send a secure message by clicking on the “Contact Us” menu and choosing “Send Messages”.
You are limited to a 60 minute session every time you use Online Banking. After 60 minutes your Online Banking session is automatically terminated and you have to log in again to begin another session. This built-in safeguard protects your Online Banking account from unauthorized access if forget to log off or in the event you are called away from your Online Banking session. In the “Preferences” section, you may also customize your automatic inactivity log-off time. 5, 10, 15, or 20 minute sessions can be selected so that you are automatically logged off should you happen to leave your computer and risk letting someone else accessing your account.
How to activate Online Banking account?
To start banking online, visit the Home page of SELCO’s web site, www.selco.org. If you have an account you can sign on and access its online banking services from this screen by entering your Account number and click on login button. If you don’t have an account simply press on “sign up” option. To activate your Online Banking account, enter the information given below on that page and push “Activate on line banking button”. There is no cost to use this service.
