The Oprah Winfrey Show offered “Oprah’s Summer Giveaway,” a three-month -long watch-and-win contest. Oprah’s Summer Giveaway gave the chance to win great prizes such as, Target GiftCards plus a chance to travel in the United Airlines, there another great prizes like, Volkswagen cars, camcorders, Sony digital book readers, trips to watch a taping of Oprah’s show and much more. A grand prize winner was snag the trip to Chicago plus an assortment of the other prizes. The Oprah Show Summer Giveaway Sweepstakes Official Rules are given below.
Eligibility :
Oprah’s Summer Giveaway (”Promotion”) was open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C., at least 18 years of age or of legal age of majority in their state of residence (whichever is greater) at time of entry.
Promotion Period:
Oprah’s Summer Giveaway was began at 9:00 AM Central Time (”CT”) on June 1, 2009 and ended at 8:59 AM CT on August 29, 2009 (”Promotion Period”).
Start Date: June 01, 2009
End Date: August 29, 2009 at 8:9 a.m. CT
Total ARV of all prizes: $481,111.00

Prize:
Instant Win Prizes (708):
(i) Five Hundred Fifty (550) One Hundred Dollar ($100.00) Target GiftCards™ (individually, a “GiftCard” and collectively, the “GiftCards”) at a total Approximate Retail Value (”ARV”) of Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00); (ii) Twenty (20) Two Hundred Fifty Dollar ($250.00) Target GiftCards at a total ARV of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00); (iii) Nine (9) Five Hundred Dollar ($500.00) Target GiftCards™ at a total ARV of Four Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($4,500.00) (GiftCards referenced in (i), (ii) and (iii) are subject to certain terms and conditions specified by Target); (iv) Eighteen (18) pairs of travel vouchers provided by United to be used toward purchasing economy class air transportation for two (2) people anywhere served by United within the 48 contiguous United States or D.C. at a total ARV of Twenty-Two Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-Eight Dollars ($22,698.00) (One Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-One Dollars ($1,261.00) per pair) ($970 for 2 vouchers and $291 awarded as a check, which may be used toward the payment of taxes).
Weekly Prize, 9 total (one (1) per week:
During the Weekly Sweepstakes Period, winner automatically received one (1) entry into the Weekly Sweepstakes each time he enter the Instant Win portion of the Promotion. Limit one (1) Weekly Sweepstakes entry per person and per email address per weekday for a maximum of five (5) entries per week. Sweepstakes entries from any person or email address in excess of the stated were daily and weekly void limitation.
Daily Sweepstakes:
During the Daily Sweepstakes Period, winner automatically received one (1) entry into the Daily Sweepstakes each time he enter the Instant Win portion of the Promotion. Limit one (1) Daily Sweepstakes entry per person and per email address, per weekday. Sweepstakes entries from any person or email address in excess of the stated daily void limitation.
Grand Prize:
(1): A trip for the grand prize winner (”Grand Prize Winner”) and up to three (3) guests (each of whom must be 18 years or older and a legal US citizen) to Chicago, IL during 2009-2010 season premiere week on or around September 14 – 18, 2009 (the “Grand Prize Trip”). The Grand Prize Trip include the following at an ARV of Twenty Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($20,859.00) ($16,045.00 for the trip plus $4,814.00 awarded as a check, which may be used toward the payment of taxes): (i) four (4) tickets to attend a taping of the Show (with the exact date of show to be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion), (ii) roundtrip, First or Business class (where applicable) air transportation for four
