Visa, the payment technology giant, has taken an innovative step to make shopping on the web more socially interactive, easy to manage and visually appealing. Previously also, this payment technology giant has shown innovation as its other name. Just yesterday, Visa has formally introduced a Web-based tool called as Rightcliq and is available for free. This tool shall provide for marketing as a social e-commerce service.
In the actual terms, Rightcliq is an add-on for the browser which is mainly focused on the enhancement and speeding up of your online shopping experience. This is accomplished by letting the user auto-fill personal address and payment card information which have been stored on its servers on merchant checkout forms. The users are provided with a personal ‘Wishspace’, which is actually a sort of a visual wish-list, and will essentially comprise of whatever the users wish to buy online. The users shall be able to manage and monitor all items of interest and track history and delivery of purchases.
Apart from the said attributes, the Rightcliq tool also shall provide users to involve relatives and friends in their purchasing decisions via email or Facebook, and also avail special offers from select online merchants like 1 – 800 flowers and Barnes & Noble directly. All this does make this tool quite a descent and appealing offering. One thing which is worth noting about this release is that Rightcliq has come into existence after Visa completed its $2 billion acquisition of online fraud prevention and payment gateway provider CyberSource, whose global client base includes 300,000 e-retailers.
“At Visa, we know consumers love to shop online, but they also want better ways to streamline the experience and eliminate some of the frustrations they encounter in the process,” says Gerry Sweeney, Visa’s global head of e-commerce and authentication. “Rightcliq is Visa’s answer to that consumer demand. Our deep knowledge of our consumers’ needs combined with our longstanding commitment to making ecommerce more convenient, secure and rewarding has resulted in a product that we believe will change the way people shop online. Today Visa is synonymous with a better way to pay. Rightcliq is a key step toward becoming the better way to shop.”
“Rightcliq is unique in the marketplace, as it adds value across the whole shopping experience and offers the convenience and peace of mind consumers expect from Visa,” Sweeney said. “We think people will find Rightcliq not only helps them make smarter shopping decisions, but also makes online shopping simpler and more fun.”
With Rightcliq, the users are even entitled to compare products while buying online in a user-friendly manner. The tool also includes the capability of keeping track of packages. As the purchases are made, the tool will visually display the shipping status of the all the goods and packages in one place only.
