Alan Mullaly, the President  and CEO of FORD motors exposed the much anticipated new car to be produced in India called as the new Ford Figo. This new car was launched at a press event in New Delhi as a main addition to the Ford India Brand Portfolio. The new car Ford Figo gets its name from the Italian word for “cool”. The design of Ford Figo is quite smooth and well-built with neat accents all around. The back is vertically stacked tail lamps which looks so pretty. The Figo is essentially a previous generation Fiesta with the front-end of the current model. Ford Motor Co. understands two things, they have to push down production cost and smaller cars are the future now. The Indian public is ready to accept the design of new Figo. The four-door hatchback will be produced at Ford India’s factory in the port city of Chennai. Figo will be priced in the range of 3.5-5 lakh rupees and will compete with the Maruti Ritz, Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz & Skoda Fabia.

7. Five-speed automatic transmission together with an array of contemporary
8. 16-Inch alloy wheels and touch screen satellite navigation system with built-in DVD player
9. A back-view camera and Bluetooth capability
10. Figo looks very muscular and much better than Honda Jazz, Skoda Fabia and Maruti Ritz
11. Ford Figo will initially be launched with 2 engine options: DuraTec Petrol and DuraTorq Diesel

Expected Price of Ford Figo

The Figo petrol is expected to be priced around 3.5-3.75 lakhs and Figo Diesel will retail around 4.20-5.0 lakhs. New Volkswagen Polo is also expected to be priced under 5 lakhs which means competition is going to heat up in the early next year with Maruti Ritz, Hyundai i20, Skoda Fabia and Honda Jazz in B+ hatchback market in India.

   Is that true that the engine will be 3000 cc and the transmission will be automatic? i didnt hear like this from any other place. is that true? i cant belive that. its a small car. even the ford fiesta have only 1600 cc engine. then how this figo will get a 3000 cc engine. i think the webmaster is gone mad.

   i think the webmaster has confused between figo and endavour b’coz he has given all the specifications of endevour exept price.
