On Friday, 29 January, 2010, the Honda Motor Co announced that it would recall a total of 646000 vehicles because of a fault with window switches in the doors. According to the report, models from 2009-10 are not affected.
After the recall by Toyota, Honda also recall and announced that the company want to examine window switches which can overheat of exposed to liquid, causing smoke, melting clutch fire, when fire broke out in a car and one child died last year. Honda announced the recall so that owners remains safe from any future accidents. In the year 2009, one person was died in South Africa in which Honda examine the problem with the switch.
