China plays a leading role among fruit-importing countries. On April 20, 2010 China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association (CIQA) has launched “China International Vegetable Science and Technology Fair” in order to enhance the quality of Chinese fruit and vegetable products and improve related processing technologies. This fair, started in Shouguang, east China’s Shandong Provincea will last until May 20. Great exchange and trade platform for the fresh fruit and vegetable industry will act through this event. At the “Summit of World Fruit and Vegetable Industry“, fresh ideas reverberated from this industry will be shared, which is an equally important simultaneous event of the Fair.
“Green, technology, development, and sharing” is the theme of the Eleventh China (Shouguang) International Vegetable Science and Technology Fair. It has been started from April 20 to May 20 in China’s Rural Vegetables – Shouguang City, Shandong Province. The main purpose of this fair is to show the world the magical charm of modern agriculture. Shouguang vegetable Fair has successively been held for 10 times since 2000. It is greatly influenced the agriculture and related industries in China and abroad for the substantial trade achievements, unique exhibition model and rich cultural connotations.
With the approval of Ministry of Commerce, China (Shouguang) International Vegetable Fair is held annually and it is considered as the largest international vegetable exhibition in China. The fair is inspected by Party and State leaders like Hu Jintao, Jiang Zemin, Wu Bangguo, Jia Qinglin, Li Changchun, and Hui Liangyu. The main exhibition area of the 11th China (Shouguang) International Vegetable Fair includes 8 exhibition halls, 4 greenhouses of vegetable planting in large scale and square exhibition areas. For the first time, over 100 “rare, special and high-qualities “ breeds of vegetables and fruits will be displayed in this year’s Vegetable Fair and for demonstration, 2,000 high-quality breeds will be planted contrastively.
China Shouguang Vegetable Expo museum will be the biggest highlight of this dish, according to reports. The total area of the Museum is of 3,000 square meters which is located in sequence hall, ancient history area, technological innovation area, exhibition and cultural district, vegetable Daguan District, vegetables and eating area six blocks, through the witness of human activities and natural materials, using a variety of art packaging, processing, creation means, a systematic interpretation of the cultural content of vegetables.
The 11th Fair food is richer than the previous dishes Fair; it contains more innovative ideas, even more grand and imposing. Different halls are decorated with different ways like in Exhibition Hall No.5 a garden of vegetables with charming view can be expected with landscapes such as the frondent vegetables and fruits of new breeds, Exhibition Hall No. 3 present the vegetable corridor with different shapes, in Exhibition Hall No. 7 the most advanced agricultural science and technology is displayed and hundreds of landscapes that made from vegetables, fruits and seeds in Exhibition Hall No. 8. Over 2,000 indoor and outdoor booths, exhibitors ranging from seeds and seedlings, fertilizers, pesticides, plastic sheeting agricultural machinery, vegetables and fruits, agricultural products, the local characteristics of products are displayed in this exhibition.
