New Audi A8 to launch in Diwali : Price, Specs & Photos

A brand, Audi was quite late with its approach towards the Indian automobile market but has proved to be highly competitive and is being appreciated truly. The company is all set to introduce the latest model of Audi, Audi A8 in Indian market in this Diwali. This is a master piece car and the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7-Series are competitors of Audi A8. Dynamic excellence for those twirling the steering wheel and five-star appointments for those occupying the rear seats are offered by new Audi A8.

Audi A8 to be offered in wheelbase model; it will come with lots of high-quality engineering, plus artful design inside and out. The tail nearly completely mimics the back of the newest A4, and the corporate grille is in full effect similar to other current-generation Audi models. Once again, the new A8 is based on a virtually all-aluminum body/chassis structure, which combines high strength with relatively light weight. A range of hi-performance petrol and diesel engine units will be included in engine options.

Engine options:

3.0 V6 TDI with 240bhp that’s found in the A4 and A6 and Q5
4.2 DOHC V8 FSI and W12 engine
4.2 V8 TDI with 350bhp found in Q7

Either a 3.0 V6 Tdi with 240bhp that powers other Audi models like the A4 and A6 and Q5 is included in the diesel engines. The new A8 may also contain an option of the 4.2 V8 Tdi diesel unit with 350bhp also seen in the Q7 SUV. The 4.2 DOHC V8 FSI and the range topping W12 are included in the petrol V8 range. The range-topping model, the W12 obtains some additional chrome on its nose and unique exhaust finishers.

A new safety system called pre-sense has been added in Audi to activate the hazard lights, close the windows and sunroof and pre-tension the seat belts if the brakes are fully applied. All A8s will drive with ZF-supplied eight-speed automatic transmission. The A8 Long Wheelbase is five inches longer between the axles and overall length. Most of that extra dimension shows up in the rear-passenger compartment. Reclining rear seats, massage, and foot rests are included in an option group in the rear-passenger compartment.

An Active cruise control with a low speed stop and go capability, blind spot monitoring, lane assistance and night vision, a power trunk lid, four-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, additional aluminum interior trim, ambient interior lighting, and full-LED headlamps as well as tail lamps are included in the other features of New Audi A8. There is an all-new interior inside the car. At present, the gear selector is an electronic shifter, with four positions. The MMI system has been moved from the centre console to the fascia, and now features a touchpad panel by which you are allowed to write letters or numbers on the screen to enter phone numbers or navigation destinations.
