2012 Olympics Bid and Location
2012 Olympics will be held in London, UK from July 27th to August 12, 2012. This is the third time that London has hosted the modern Olympic Games. It has also hosted the Olympic Games in 1908 and 1948. This decision of 2012 Olympics Bid and Location was taken on 6 July 2005 under 117th the LOC Session in Singapore, beating Moscow, New York, Madrid and Paris after 4 rounds of voting.
London finally succeeds by taking 54 votes from a possible 104. This gave London the majority that it required to be elected as the host city for the 2012 Games. The London organizing committee for the Olympic Games is in charged with running the games after the success of the bid.
2012 Olympic bid
2012 Olympic bid was held on 6th July, 2005 at the LOC session in Singapore. It was deemed as the best competition race in Olympic bid history. In this bid World’s five big Capitals were included London, Madrid, Moscow, New York and Paris. The IOC awarded the London Bid with the rights to host the Games of the XXX Olympiad.
