Champions League T20 Schedule & Timings
The second edition of Champions League T20 (CLT20) will be held from September 10 to 26, 2010. This year Champions League T20 will be played in South Africa. The Schedule/Time Table and timings of Champions League T20 are given below.
Airtel has bagged the title sponsorship. They have paid much higher than what DLF paid for IPL title sponsorship. The semifinals will be held in Kingsmead (Durban) and SuperSport Park (Centurion) on September 24 and September 25. And the final match will be held on September 26 in New Wanderers Stadium (Johannesburg).
Champions league Twenty20 is one of the famous International professional T20 league in cricket world. It is the most exciting cricket tournament played by club teams of various countries with the inclusion of India, Australia, South Africa, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and West Indies. The 2010 CLT20 Matches will be played at four venues of South Africa including Durban, Port Elizabeth, Centurion and Johannesburg.
There will be total 23 matches equally divided in four venues of South Africa. The semi-final will be played in Durban and Centurion and final match will be played in Johannesburg. Sachin Tendulkar’s Mumbai Indians clash with Alviro Petersen’s Highveld Lions at the opening match of Airtel Champions League T20 2010 at Wanderers. Total ten team participating in 2010 CLT20 including three will be from IPL of India, two each from South Africa Domestic League and KFC League of Australia and one each from West Indies, Sri Lanka and New Zealand Domestic League.
In this cricket tournament, the 10 teams are divided into two groups of five teams each. The initial groupings for the 2010 Champions League Twenty20 are as follows:
