The American footballer Leon Washington broke his right leg on Sunday in the first quarter against the Oakland Raiders. He was then taken to immediately in Oakland area hospital. New York Jet’s won their game against the Oakland but, Leon was injured and his season has been ended as well as it is possible that his career also end with the Jet’s. Now it is not confirmed that he is out for the season or not.
Leon is also New York’s second leading player with play 330 yards on 71 carries in the game. He was injured on a 6 yard carry and his only rush of the game when he had caught his lower leg to bend in discomfited style. He is an important part of the Jet’s offense for the past four seasons. His team said he would be out indefinitely.
Washington’s team coach Rex Ryan said that, it was obviously a severe injury, but hopefully he will be joining them sooner than later. Leon Washington is a great teammate and a great person. He has recently signed new contract with the Jets at the end of the season. Washington is the main part of the Jets’ offense and special teams.
