American League Championship Series 2009 schedule is now set and kicks off on Friday night October 16th. The two remaining team the Los Angeles Angels and the New York Yankees face off for a spot in the 2009 World Series. The 39th in league history, American League Championship Series (ALCS) is scheduled to commence on October 16 and run no later than October 25 broadcasted on Fox Sports. The Yanks will now host Game 1 of the American League Championship Series 2009.
The New York Yankees is the AL East Division champions, and the Los Angeles, Angels of Anaheim is the AL West Division champions, both will face off in the ALCS to win a trip to the 2009 World Series. Since 2004, it will be the Yankees’ first ALCS appearance, and the Angels’ first appearance since 2005.
Yankees and the Angels both are totally different teams, with the Yankees relying upon power, and the Angels seeking to manufacture runs along the way, so it will be interesting to see.
