Oscar Mayer is an American meat and cold cut production company which is owned by Kraft Foods. Oscar Mayer is best known for its hot dogs, bologna, bacon and Lunchables products. Oscar Mayer is also well-known for their Wienermobile which is an automobile shaped like a hot dog on a bun. It was created in the year 1936 to promote and advertise Oscar Mayer products. In the year 2004, Oscar Mayer declared a contest in that customers could win the right to use the Wienermobile for a day. This contest had generated over 15,000 entries within a month.

Oscar Mayer Shotbun Contest has been started at 12:01 am Eastern Daylight Savings Time (“EDT”) on May 5, 2010 and will be ended at 11:59 pm EDT on July 31, 2010. Oscar Mayer Shotbun Contest is to open to residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia. Participate must be 6 years or older as of May 5, 2010. No purchase is necessary. The limit of the contest is one entry per email address/person per day, regardless of method of entry. There are two ways to enter in the contest.
(1) Via online: For that, you have to click on ‘the OSCAR MAYER Hot Dog Gallery’ and submit your entry to complete the following sentence in 200 words or less: “If I could ride ‘Shotbun’ in the WIENERMOBILE for a day, I would…” You have to express how riding Shotbun in the OSCAR MAYER WIENERMOBILE would help you spread good moods. After that, you have to register yourself by entering your date of birth and email ID.
(2) AT OSCAR MAYER EVENTS: you have to complete Entry Form which is available at Sponsor specified events, while supplies last, or on an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of paper, hand-print your name, complete address, daytime and evening telephone numbers, date-of-birth, parent’s name if entrant is a minor, and in 200 words or less complete the sentence: “If I could ride ‘Shotbun’ in the WIENERMOBILE for a day, I would…” After that put your deposit entry in entry box.
The Approximate retail value of all prizes is $20,000. Each four grand prize includes $5,000 cash (awarded in the form of a check) and opportunity for winner and winner’s family and/or friends to “Ride Shotbun” in a WIENERMOBILE on a Sponsor designated date for approximately 4 to 8 hours. WIENERMOBILE rides are subject to availability and must be taken by September 15, 2010.
