Nokia C7: the latest smartphone by Nokia leaked on web!

Yet another device, from the abode of Nokia manufacturers, is the Nokia C7. This is the latest smartphone to be announced by Nokia in the C series, and does resemble the Samsung handsets showing the features like rounded phone edges, and similar buttons as that of Samsung handsets. But, whatever be the case, this smartphone has quite an impressive look and appearance, as is revealed by the photos which have got leaked on the internet.

The Nokia C7 smartphone will feature the Symbian ^3 operating system, which is the latest by Nokia, and will be escorted by a 3.5 inch touchscreen which is TFT resistive, and shall support a resolution of 360 x 640 pixelsand 16M colours. This is well supported by a QWERTY keyboard, and includes the Proximity sensor and Accelerometer sensor for auto turn-off and auto rotation of the user interface respectively.

The Nokia C7 provides provision for connectivity through 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900networks, as well as 3G HSDPA 1900 / 2100networks. The specifications are all unofficial and are expected to be verified once the handset will be announced by Nokia. The memory specifications of this feature-rich handset include the support for Micro SD card, and the phonebook is capable of storing practically unlimited number of entries. With the support for the Photocall facility, the smartphone also capable of storing call records of up to 30 days.

In the phase of data transfer and connectivity, the Nokia C7 does not prove weak, and is equipped with Class 32 of GPRS and EDGE technology, with the provision for 3G HSDPA at the rate of 3.6 Mbps. Though the total specifications of the phone will be known only after its release, the device is also known to support Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, but no infrared port. Also it is rumoured to have the support of facial recognition, Wi-Fi, and GPS.

In terms of multimedia support, the Nokia C7 is packed with an 8 mega-pixel camera, associated with a resolution support of 3264 x 2448 pixels, and auto focus with dual-LED flash. Also known to support video recording, there is a secondary camera as well. All the above information is based on the leaked specifications and photos on the web.

The messaging features supported by the Nokia C7 include SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email, IM, and the browser provided with the phone is expected to support WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML and RSS feeds. The other expected facets of this feature-rich handset include the MP4/H.264/WMV player, MP3/WMA/WAV/eAAC+ player, Document viewer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF), Voice command, Flash Lite v3.1 with a Standard , Li-Ion battery.

The launch of the device has not yet been announced by Nokia, neither is the price known. But, looking at the current scenario where Nokia has continuously launched quite a handful of handsets, the Nokia C7 can be expected to be announced soon. Though the smartphone will not be an ideal match for the iPhone 4 functionality seekers, but this does seem rather stylish and, of course, shall have the robustness of Nokia handsets.
