I love this handset and have been a proud owner of Nokia for more than a decade now Ranging from the 3310,3315,8310 6600,N 93 to N95 ( My current handset . But i am unhappy with the company delaying the launch in India. India has a vast market for these type of electronic gadgets.
However, Can anyone please let me know when its going to be released here in Bangalore and whats the approx cost.

I am a Nokia Fanboy but i must say that Nokia has disappointed me this time. With all the wait Nokia N8 made us have , its defintely not the must buy device…Although the touch is capacitative this time, it is slow and not very responsive. especially the home screen takes a notable 3-4 secs to load. i hav never used touch phones till now, nd my current handset till nw was N95 8GB. so i got out and bought N8, only to be surprised to find out dat my friend who owns an Apple Iphone 3GS, and keeps boasting abt it, is actually rite. The touch functionality of nokia n8 is not dat good. cmon i expect to get a good functionality especially wen it doesnt have a keypad. Also music thru headphones was average. It takes so much time to load the OVI Maps. it feels dat the phone has frozen. The camera is very nice. the display is not as bright as other phones of the same category.the USB on the go feature is amazin….overall i m depressed and i think its time we start thinkin outside nokia. I dont mind spending Rs. 36,000 on Iphone 4 with less functionalities compared to n8 but atleast i wud be happy with the touch, interface and music. also i underestimated samsung as a brand, but their phones like the Galaxy S is way better than N8. I m selling my N8. its new and with all accessories. any one wants to buy it frm me, for Rs.22,000 plz contact me…but then dont say dat i didnt tel u abt it!!!

great review. love my new n8. touch screen is great and easy to navigate around. I love the feel and the witdth and height of the phone is great. fits right in my pocket. just picked up my last couple unlocked world phones very happy. processor is faster, web browser is great for playing around and watching video’s. speaker phone is really loud which is nice, wish i had facetime though like my old unlocked iphones. w/e tho. facebook and games keep my wife busy on long trips and my daughter loves the apps they are endless. we’re always on these things. also got our cell phone unlock codes and mobile unlocking for free! cant complain. got our last couple n8’s at unlockthatphone.com 2 thumbs way up
