Just 4 months after its International launch at Geneva, the German sports car creator Porsche has launched 2011 edition of their hot selling SUV Cayenne in India. At Porsche centre’s in Delhi and Mumbai this car is presently obtainable. The company is going to open five new Porsche centres in India at Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kochi and Hyderabad. This car will be obtainable in all five engine options in India including Cayenne Diesel and the Cayenne S Hybrid. Different variants of Porsche Cayenne 2011 will have price tag in the range Rs 65.82 Lakh to Rs 1.27 Crore in India.
The ex-showroom prices, excluding all local taxes and duties, for the new Cayenne models in India are:

The Porsche Cayenne 2011 has a number of engine options. The 3.6-litre V6 Cayenne’s fuel consumption has been down around 20 percent to give a mileage of 10.1 kmpl and its power has augmented to 300 bhp. The Cayenne Diesel with its 240 bhp 3.0-litre V6 motor reduces fuel ingestion by 20 percent and mileage increased from 10.7 to 13.5 kmpl. Fuel efficiency is also up considerably on the high-torque Cayenne S with its 4.8-litre V8 power unit delivers 400 bhp maximum outputs instead of the earlier 385 bhp and also consumes 23 per cent less fuel delivering 9.5 kmpl. The most powerful Cayenne Turbo, with its 500 bhp 4.8-litre V8 bi-turbo now runs 8.7 kmpl consuming 23 per cent lesser fuel.
All variants of this car pursue the manufacturer’s principle of “Porsche Intelligent Performance.” Lower CO2 emissions, better efficiency and more power on less fuel are offered by them. The new active and extra light all-wheel drive gives the Cayenne the optimum weight. According to some sources Porsche may collect the Cayenne in India. The price of the SUV would tumble down considerably, if that happens.
Deesch Papke, Managing Director of Porsche Middle East and Africa said, “This car clearly brings a new dimension to the SUV market. Customers will also be able to explore the dynamic attributes of their Porsche Cayenne”.
