Volkswagen Hybrid Beetle (Green Car) to debut in 2011 Detroit AutoShow

Hybrid has been the way to go for all of the huge motor car manufacturing companies of the world like Volkswagen and BMW. Actually, a Hybrid vehicle is one in which there are more than one sources of energy most commonly the petroleum product petrol/diesel is required to start the engine and the other source of energy whether electricity or CNG keeps the engine running hence reducing the consumption of petrol by the engine. Also, the General Motors one of the oldest motor manufacturing companies in the world has come up with its newest motor model the Bolt that runs only on electricity and requires no other sources of energy.

But that of course is later, for now Volkswagen VW plans to debut a Beetle with a hybrid powertrain and a new exterior design at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show. The car’s specs should be similar to the New Compact Coupe (NCC) that VW revealed last year. That vehicle carried a 1.4-liter TSI inline-four cylinder engine, a 20-kilowatt electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. All in all, it packed 177 horsepower and 110 pounds of torque, while averaging about 45 miles-per-gallon – not bad for a car most people want to cuddle.

Autoblog Green reports that the hybrid Beetle will at least match those numbers, and could even improve upon them. VW has established itself at the forefront of cutting-edge car tech, whether it’s this ‘green’ Bug or a super-sleek car that reads road signs. Volkswagen (abbreviated VW) is one of the world’s largest automobile manufacturers. The company is headquartered in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany. Volkswagen is the original marque within the Volkswagen Group, which includes the car marques Audi, Bentley Motors, Bugatti Automobiles, Automobili Lamborghini, SEAT, Škoda Auto and heavy goods vehicle manufacturer Scania.

Volkswagen means “people’s car” in German, in which it is pronounced ['f?lks?va?g?n]. Its current tagline or slogan is Das Auto (in English The Car). VW intends all future models to have the hybrid option. “Future VW models will fundamentally also be constructed with hybrid concepts,” VW head of development Ulrich Hackenberg told Automobilwoche in an interview. Hackenberg mentioned that the car based on the Up! concept seen at Frankfurt Motor Show, as well as all future models, could be offered with either full or partial hybrid options. The rear-engine up! will go into production in 2011. Nothing has been said about plug-in hybrid options.

Just for the sake of knowing Volkswagen well we wanted to know the customer profile of Volkswagen and found out that are the Porsche family, the Emirate of Qatar and the state of Lower Saxony. Some of the richest names on the planet are actually associated with the Volkswagen and that indeed was very unique to find out that the company has the trust of such high profile personalities.

How about having an opinion? How do you like the Volkswagen newest hybrid vehicle? Will it be a revolution in the hybrid vehicle market? Don’t forget to drop your views at the comments section below.

Almost everyone that makesan income on the internet (even the millionaires) do so through affiliate marketing. Being successful in affiliate marketing involves knowing the formula that makes other affiliate marketers successful. For instance, autoblogging. Autoblogging has been one of the least well-known forms of making money online for quite some time… basically because it’s quite difficult to make a good auto-blog. Yet, when done right, it can provide you with a perpetual passive income with the only real work required being the setting up process. Video Marketing, and several other marketing strategies are all designed to drive traffic to your site, can be incorporated steadily in order to raise the position your site appears in the SERPs when any one searches for a term related to your site. And yet, even this can be totally automated.
